First day (in Baku)

Meeting at the airport. Transfer to Hotel. Free time and rest.

Second day (in Baku)

After breakfast- Beginning of excursion in Old Town - "Icheri Sheher". See the highlights of Icheri Sheher including the Palace of the Shirvans (the most striking example of the Medieval palace structures in Azerbaijan, dating to the middle of 15th century); the Maiden's Tower (the ancient, eight storey fortress originally built as a fire beacon), visit Dzhuma Mosque, antiques and carpets shops, Carpet Museum. Lunch at national restaurant. After lunch you start your Baku tour paying visits to Caspian sea boulevard, Martyr Cemetery, central modern Baku. Martyr's Cemetery, located on the higher slopes of the city's west-end, this is the best place for viewing the city and the Bay of Baku. You will have a walk in Naberezhny Park and along Baku Boulevard, the second largest one in the Europe. On Boulevard you'll be able to make a 30 minutes ship trip along Baku Bay (if requested). You will be introduced with the interesting facts and legends of the largest lake in the world better known as Caspian Sea. The same day you will also be shown a modern Baku. After finishing your tour return to hotel.


ASCENDING BAZARDUZI MOUNTAIN (4466 M)Option 1:

Day 1: Leaving Baku at around 9.00 am following Baku - Quba - Qusar - Laza settlement - Suvar mountain camp  itinerary (5-6 hours).

Arrangements for hiking tour. Hiking across mountain pass to Qarabulag spring (1 hour). Putting up tents near Qarabulag spring. Overnight.

Day 2: Leaving camp at 9.00 and walking up across Qusarchay river gorge with slow ascent to Shahyaylag (8-9 hours). Staying overnight in Shahnabad river valley in mountains plain of Shahyaylag.

Day 3: Leaving camp at 9.00 and ascending across Shahnabad river valley to Yatah river gorge (8-9 hours). Putting up a camp and staying overnight in Yatah river valley.

Day 4: Leaving camp at 9.00 and moving up along Yatah river gorge to slopes of Bazarduzi (4-5 hours). Putting up a base camp in a meadows at the foot of Bazarduzi mountain.

Day 5: Leaving camp at 7.00 and climbing up along path to the top of Bazarduzi. Descent to the base camp by the same route. (8-10 hours).

 Day 6: Starting descent at 8.00 along Yatah gorge towards Xynalig pass (4-5 hours). Boarding car and transferring through Xynalig pass to Xynalig settlement (1 hour). Transfer from Xynalig to Quba and then to Baku (5 hours). Arrival to Baku at around  19.00.

Option 2:

Day 1: Leaving Baku at 8.00 and going by the following itinerary: Baku - Quba - Xynalig settlement (5 hours) Short excursion in Xynalig. Transfer through Xinalig pass to Shahnabad river valley (1-1,5 hours). Hiking towards Yatah river gorge (5-6 hours). Staying overnight in tents.

Day 2: Leaving camp at 9.00 and moving up along Yatah river gorge to slopes of Bazarduzi (4-5 hours). Putting up a base camp in a meadows at the foot of Bazarduzi mountain.

Day 3: Starting at 7.00 adaptive ascent to Bazaryurt mountain (4150 m) or Olimpia mountain (3850 m) and return to base camp (8-9 hours).

Day 4: Rest and preparations to ascend the top of Bazarduzi mountain (4466м).

Day 5: Leaving camp at 7.00 and climbing up along path to the top of Bazarduzi. Descent to the base camp by the same route. (8-10 hours).

Day 6: Starting descent at 8.00 along Yatah gorge towards Xynalig pass (4-5 hours). Boarding car and transferring through Xynalig pass to Xynalig settlement (1 hour). Transfer from Xynalig to Quba and then to Baku (5 hours). Arrival to Baku at around  19.00.


Third Day (in Baku)

After lunch you will visit the Gobustan reserve. Gobustan is an open-air museum littered with neolithic rock drawings. Just 65km (40 miles) south of Baku, Gobustan has some 4000 inscriptions that go back 12,000 years (with some 2000 year old Latin graffiti to boot). Stone Age folks sporting loin cloths pose hunt and boogie down. Their dances are thought to have been accompanied by the melodious strains of the Gaval-Dashy (Tambourine Stone) - a rock that has a deep, resonating tone when struck.

Besides being famous for the petroglyphs the Gobustan  you will see also  has some amazing landscape, particularly an area filled with mud volcanoes, which provide a quasi-lunar horizon. You can find the most spectacular mud volcanoes about 7km south of Gobustan near the road to Alat.

Fourth day (in Baku)

Transfer from the hotel to the airport.

Please bear in mind that usually when we organize tour in mountains the mountain guide himself or with the customer buy in supermarket products necessary 1-2 days before the start of the trip.

Receipts will be produced to customers  to cover expenses with an extra 10% from total the sum for the products for this services (guide will also be responsible for cooking and warming meals)
