BAKU HOSTS INT?L CONFERENCE ? ARCHEOLOGY, ETHNOLOGY & FOLKLORE OF CAUCASUS? News
International conference on the topic ?Archeology, ethnology, folklore of Caucasus? in memory of the director of Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, corresponding member of ANAS Arif Abbasov began at Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, on December 15.
The scientists and specialists of Russia, Georgia, as well as American archeologists attending the archeological digs along the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Main Oil Pipeline (BTC MEP) participated at the conference.
President of ANAS, academician Mahmud Karimov told on significance of the arrangement and wished conference participants success.
There were studied over 30 archeological monuments of different historical periods on BTC and Southern Caucasus routes.
Over 150 reports related to the different problems of archeology, ethnology and folklore of Southern Caucasus would be delivered at the conference to last up to December 17.
