The House of Sheki Khans

Another example of the developed architecture of the 18th century is the House of Sheki Khans which belonged to the close relatives of Sheki Khans .

This two-storied house is the classical sample of national architecture - it was constructed of raw bricks and consists of 6 rooms, 4 corridors and 2 balconies. In front of the first floor the wide brick sidewalk is laid. The art furnish and abundance of ric h decor of the House of Sheki Khans is very similar to Sheki Khans' Palace. The w indows and doors of the house are assembled from wooden and glass mosaic just like in the palace.

The walls and the ceiling of big ger rooms are covered with terrific beautiful pictures: flowers , animals, patterns. Numerous s all pieces mirror were skillfully used for the rooms decoration

The main attraction of the House of Sheki Khans was amazing in its beauty decorative Bukhar-fireplace reveted with tiles.

The House of Sheki Khans had survived in a good condition; however , it was restored and today is open for all visitors.
