The State Committee for Property Affairs of Azerbaijan has begun preparations for privatization of tourist facilities.
The Committee reports that workshops “Foreign experience of privatization of tourist facilities" were held in Guba on 21 November and in Sheki on 23 November. They were organized within the framework of cooperation between the State Committee and the German Foreign Co-operation Society (GIZ).
At the seminars German expert Stefan Krell presented information and specific examples of privatization and a possibility to raise at its expense investments in tourism infrastructure, framework conditions for privatization of tourism infrastructure. They also discussed opportunities of German and European experience in privatization of tourism facilities in Azerbaijan.
The State Committee stated that it will continue holding such seminars to accelerate privatization of tourism facilities and applying advanced experience for development of this sphere.
