The 10th edition of the Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair (AITF) is kicked off on Thursday April 28, 2011 in Baku.
Azerbaijan Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev announced that the country`s tourism industry will continue to grow in 2011 and added that he expects 10% growth in tourism industry this year. “In 2010 the country`s tourism sector increased by 6-7%.
The world financial crisis is gradually overpassing. In the last 5 years tourism has started to develop and this indicator is high enough,” Garayev said. Azerbaijan aims to attract at least 3 million tourists in a year.
