Two ancient settlements found in Ismayilli region of Azerbaijan
Two ancient settlements presumably dating back to early II century have been discovered in Ismayilli region of Azerbaijan.
According to Culture and Tourism Office of Baku, one of the ancient settlements has been discovered near Pirnidar village. Pottery, 400 household items and pitcher graves have been found in the settlement.
Another ancient site is located within the Shabian village. A large number of ancient items have also been found here.
Ismayilli region is famous for its wildlife and rich culture. There are 238 historical monuments in the region.
