On December 18 in the Azerbaijan Institute of Tourism (AIT) hosted an international conference on “Alternative tourism development."
Opening the conference, the rector of the institute Prof. Jafar Jafarov spoke about the strategic goals of the university from the perspective of country tourism development, about the difference between alternative and mass tourism, the essence of alternative tourism.
The conference featured Christina Kazakova on "The Role of mud treatment in the health tourism", Alexey Pankov entitled "Protection of religious monuments, Gunay Mammadli on the Art and the school of carpet weaving in Azerbaijan" and others.
Reports at the event were made by the Azerbaijani, Russian, English, French and German.
