Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between Azerbaijan hotels and tour companies
On 29 October 2010 a meeting of hotel business representatives and tourism companies who are all members of Azerbaijan Tourism Association (AzTA) was held in Baku. At the meeting many issues relevant to travel agencies and hotels were discussed, including the pricing policy.
"This has not been in the history of Azerbaijan tourism. We discussed normalization of cooperation. During the meeting Cooperation Memorandum between hotels and tour companies was signed. In addition, the Azerbaijan hotel complexes association joined to Azerbaijan Tourism Association », - said Mr. Nahid Bagirov, Head of Azerbaijan Tourism Association.
During the meeting, vice-chairman of AzTA was elected. Mr Siyavush Egyanly became vice-chairman, former board member AOKA.
Also we established a Working Group comprising representatives of the hotels (RadissonPlaza, the hotel chain Hyatt) and travel agencies (company directors and ENC Tours Eurotourizm) and Nahid Bagirov himself. The Working Group will continue to coordinate joint activities of hotels and tour operators.
H. Bagirov said that today's event, including a signed Memorandum of Cooperation, "will give even greater impetus to the tourism industry in Azerbaijan."
