The results of ‘Azerbaijan 2009 – tourism world’ photo-competition will be released next January
The final results of ‘Azerbaijan 2009 – tourism world’ photo-competition will be released next January said project’s coordinator Tamilla Nagiyeva. Organiser of competition is Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan. Money awards will be given to winners in each category. The first place winner will receive 1,000 manats (around 1250 USD), second place – 500 AZN, third place – 300 AZN. Apart from that other awards of up to 150 AZN will be given to participants.
According to T. Nagiyeva this year foreign participants entered into the competition as well. That’s why the results will be announced a bit later than year before, judges are still accepting entries for the competition. The main objective of this event is promotion of tourism industry in Azerbaijan, its history, culture, traditions and unique nature. Special section is devoted to modern developments in Azeri tourism, how compliance of Azerbaijan hotels to world standards, opportunities for adventure tourism in our country.
There are three main nominations in this competition: Azerbaijan Nature, Heritage and Azeri Tourism Opportunities.
Both amateurs and professional photographers can participate. Everyone has equal chances, emphasize organizers. Both colour and black&white photos are accepted. The best works will be published in competition catalogue. They will be exhibited after competition in exhibition call after Sattar Bahlulzade. Organizers plan to publish two catalogues, one with the photos of winners and the other one with the best shots that were selected for final stage of competition by jury.
The motto of competition remained the same: Come to Azerbaijan if You Want to See a Paradise
