The largest Museum of Applied Art presents its collection in Baku
‘Bedcovers from Central Asia’ exhibition with collection from London’s Albert & Victoria Museum – the largest museum of applied art has been launched last week in Baku Museum of Arts after R. Mustafayev.
All pieces of that collection is made of silk and what is important our exposition not just reveals their beaty but demonstrates how they had been made and what for. Collection covers the art of nations used to live along Great Silk Road.
Interestingly, this collection also includes Azeri carpets dated by XVII-XIX centuries. The whole collection numbers 58 objects of art from bedcovers to clothe. Exhibition will be open until March 3, 2010.
