Online reservation of Azerbaijan hotels is now possible even in remote village of Uganda as long as they have Internet access there. A presentation of pilot Internet portal that will allow make online reservations in all Azerbaijan hotels took place last Thursday in Baku Information & Tourist Centre.
"I believe this is another serious step forward to international integration of Azeri tourist potential ", said the Minster of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev.
This project was realised by Information & Tourist Centre with the support on UN Development Program. New site will have a complete database of hotels and guesthouses in Baku and will allow customers to search through hotels database and make online reservations.
According to Garayev they plan to create more such sites covering not just Baku hotels but all hotels in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan24 team can only welcome the efforts on Ministry to promote inbound tourism but we have to stress that online reservation of Baku hotels was realised long before by private sector. We pride ourselves to realise first a number of similar projects including Azerbaijan24.com, Traveler.az, Traveller.az couple of years ago and without any assistance and financial support.
