Album - Lahij craft
Lahij is a village high up in the Caucasus Mountains in Azerbaijan. The main pride of Lahij, certainly, is its copper craft. For a long time Lahij was the centre of coppersmiths most known in Caucasus. In the mid-19th century, there were more than 200 workshops in Lahij. Traders discovered Lahij crafts many centuries ago, and sold them for high prices at in Baghdad [now Iraq], Shiraz [now Iran] and other Middle Eastern cities.
