AutoShow Azerbaijan 2011 in Baku — Cars Exhibition by Iteca
- 7th Azerbaijan International Automotive Exhibition AUTOSHOW and 4th Azerbaijan International Spare Parts, Accessories and Service Equipment Exhibition AUTOPARTS will be opened at March 16-19 in Baku.
- It’s already six times that International Automotive Exhibition AutoShow Azerbaijan, supported by Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation have been held in the country’s capital Baku. Next year the AutoShow Azerbaijan will open it’s doors in 7th time. The exhibition was established in Azerbaijan, Baku by International Exhibitions & Conferences Organisation Iteca in 2004.

Azerbaijan Economy
- Azerbaijan economy, according to the UN’s World Economic Situation and Prospects 2009 Report is expected to grow by 14%. That is the most impressive value in the whole CIS. Meanwhile the world economy in 2009 is expected to grow only by 1%.
- To compare with other ex-USSR countries, the Russian economy is expected to grow by 4.8%, Georgia’s GDP — by 4.5%, Kazakhstan — by 4% and Ukraine — by 2.1%, says UN’s World Economic Situation and Prospects 2009 Report.
- According to information supplied by the Black SeaTrade & Development Bank, total investments to Azerbaijan economy in 2011 will reach $7.092Bn.
- The total volume of Azerbaijan’s income from oil industry in the next 20 years is expected to reach $200Bn. Oil industry is the main source of income for Azerbaijan Republic. But not the only one.
Automobile market of Azerbaijan
- Since 2003 the number of cars in Azerbaijan per 1000 persons increased by 1,5 times. In 2007 this index reached 90 cars per 1000 persons. About 80% of these automobiles were motor cars, 14,3% were trucks, 3,6% were different busses and the rest were automobiles of special purposes.
- As stated by the representatives of Ministry of Transportation of Azerbaijan, during the next three years about 400,000 automobiles will be imported to the country.
- So, this explains govermental plans to construct 13 new crossings, 11 highway bridges, and 11 underground car parks until 2011.
